Our "Deeper Dive" appointments are not covered by insurance.

As a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina, I am legally prohibited from prescribing Schedule II narcotics unless the prescription is for an acute issue. In such cases, the prescription is limited to a maximum of 5 days. This policy ensures compliance with state law & promotes safe prescribing practices. Thank you for your understanding.

• Examples of Schedule II narcotic substances include fentanyl, hydromorphone, meperidine, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, dextroamphetamine, methylphenidate, methamphetamine, pentobarbital, and secobarbital.

At Pure Wellness by Medicos, we offer access to a variety of laboratory services to help uncover the root causes of health concerns. 

Please note that laboratory tests are not free, but they are often necessary for accurate diagnosis & effective treatment. 

We offer discounted lab pricing for patients without insurance or those with high-deductible plans who prefer to pay out of pocket, provided their insurance plan allows them to opt out. We are only able to provide pricing for our cash-pay lab options, as every insurance plan is different & coverage varies widely.

While we do our best to provide appropriate coding for lab orders, it is the patient’s responsibility to verify which lab companies are in-network with their insurance carrier. Most insurance plans cover services from Labcorp & Quest Diagnostics, but some specialized tests may require alternative laboratories.

For a more in-depth evaluation, we have partnered with several companies such as Boston Heart, Vibrant Labs, ZIO heart monitor & other specialty laboratories. These advanced tests allow for a personalized approach to health management, providing easy-to-understand, individualized reports tailored to your unique needs.

As part of the onboarding process, we will request the past two years of medical records from your previous healthcare provider(s), including all imaging. 

Each medical office will require a unique medical record release to share your information. 

If you need a complete copy of your medical records, we kindly ask that you contact your previous provider directly.

We strive to respond to your messages immediately, but please allow 24-48 business hours to address non-emergent concerns.

At Pure Wellness by Medicos, we strive to provide timely care to all of our patients.  As a courtesy to both our staff & other patients, we kindly ask that you provide at least a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.  

NO SHOW & LATE CANCELLATION FEE: 

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your appointment,  you will not be seen & you will need to be rescheduled.  This will be considered a no-show & subject to the corresponding fees.  

• First no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice:  $30 fee
• Second occurrence: $50 fee
• Third occurrence: Dismissal from the practice

NEW PATIENT NO SHOW POLICY:

If you miss your initial new patient appointment without providing 24 hours' notice, a $75 rebooking fee will be required before rescheduling. 

If the fee is not paid, we will be unable to schedule any future appointments. 

We understand that life happens and that emergencies can arise.  Each situation is unique, & we are committed to being fair.  If you experienced an unexpected event, please contact our office as soon as possible. If you believe your case warrants special consideration, please notify our office as soon as possible so that we may review it on a case-by-case basis.
